Russian open championship on cosmetology

The Russian Open Championship on Cosmetology is held every year since 2005 as a part of KOSMETIK EXPO. The Championship is organized by KOSMETIK international Educational Center.

The Championship is aimed at up-dating cosmetologists professional level and improving services quality in the beauty industry.

The event is actively supported by Moscow Government Department of Consumer Market and Services, the Technical Committee for Standardization TK 346 Consumer Services, Russian Perfumery and Cosmetics Quality Chamber and the Inter-Regional Professional Cosmetological Association. In 2006 a special prize was instituted for the Winner of the Moscow selective round: Moscow Government Department of Consumer Market and Services Cup.

The Championship organization has made it such an event that has no analogues in Russia. Every year it is attended by more than 150 cosmetologists both with higher medical education and just being employed in beauty shops of various Russian regions and CIS countries.

The Competition implies two nominations: Face and Neck Skin Care and Body Care and consists of two stages: regional and Moscow selective rounds and the final event in Moscow. Only those specialists who have higher or secondary medical education, work experience of at least one year and a diploma of a cosmetologist are admitted to take part in it. Training managers, instructors and teachers are not eligible for participation. Special training sessions are organized for participants.

Since 2006 the selective rounds of the Championship are held within regional KOSMETIK EXPO exhibitions bounds included in «Russian Cosmetic Exhibitions Net» project - in Volga and Urals regions. Since 2007 a new selective round within the bounds of N.I.C.E./Ideal Beauty exhibition takes place.

Selective rounds winners (I place) have the right to take part in the finals in Moscow free of charge. I, II and III places are also awarded with prize money and valuables. Besides, the champions (I place) get the certificate for free education course in a foreign cosmetology school.
